Pastures new

My sister has recently sold her house in Surrey and moved to Bexhill On Sea. One of my customers this week sold his house in Acton within 4 hrs of it being offered for sale and before the photographer could turn up and is off to France. Another Acton couple sold their house and bought a flat in Brighton for £175k.So I was wondering if anyone was tempted to sell up and move away as house prices are soaring? If you had the choice, where would you move to?

if not Milford on Sea in Hampshire, then it might have to be the Dordogne region of France, don't particulary like the frogs, but the area was beautiful.

No, it's lovely here, in West London, with Kew Gardens, the river and Richmond Park all within easy reach, and the Waterman's for a bit of culture. Swift ride into central London from Acton Town for art galleries and theatres, or out to Heathrow for a city break. They'll have to carry me out in a box. People go crazy in the country.

Wouldn't dream of moving to the country, especially not foreign country.But the thought of a neat flat with white walls, low maintenance and no clutter, within a stroll of theatres, restaurants, the Wigmore Hall etc does quite appeal.

Would hate to move from here - theatres, galleries, friends etc.  Having said that, I visit Stratford on Avon quite a bit and stay in a super little flat, which the owner is just selling.  Now all I need is a sugar daddy to buy it for me!
