New Fitness Exchange?

I used to be a member of Fitness First on the high street, but moved when they said they were closing.  They then transformed into New Fitness Exchange, big plans were talked up but....I only noticed the other day that they were shut and after a quick search I found out that they've gone into administration, shutting down at, apparently, very little notice, if any.  I can't find anything about it here -- does anybody else know about this?  What's going to happen to the space now?

Indeed, I was just days away from taking out membership, but the entire chain has gone bust. From the snippets I read on Twitter, staff clearly had no idea it was going to happen. All equipment has been moved out.Have you checked out the new Pure Gym on the Uxbridge Rd?

I joined Kiss Gym when I left Fitness First, but haven't managed to get back there after a summer hol.  The price is good and the facilities are okay(ish), but I just haven't been able to face going back.

A perfect opportunity for the owners - ARC - who have put in the ghastly plan for the Oaks - to take the vacancy as an opening to do a wider and less dense scheme.They always said before that they couldn't afford to break the lease so couldn't develop that part of the site. It may or may not have been true however many years ago this all started, it sure isn't true now!
