Someone I work with said that Waitrose came to Hornchurch -- and then pulled out after a year.

Do they really think there's enough of their demographic to survive in Acton??  With cheapo Morrisons just down the road.I think we're being fed a line by vested interests re the Planing Application and I'll believe it when the doors actually open for business.

I am pretty sure that Waitrose would only open a store in Acton if they have done their homework and are convinced that they will be a viable proposition.There is no point in promising something which may not happen whether or not the proposed new development goes ahead.
