WHY WAITROSE????

Why do so many people think that a new Waitrose store is so badly needed in Acton. Morrisons badly need competition from a better value supermarket that can rival them on price and customer service e.g Lidl, Aldi's or Asda. Morrisons would then have to raise their game because at the moment they can behave as they like as they have huge customer footfall, locals do not have a cheaper option nearby. As Waitrose is more upmarket and their prices more expensive this is only going to make Morrisons more complacent in their attitude.      I do not think I am the only person who has found Morrisons a badly organised mess. It's shelves are often empty and any complaints just ignored by a could not care management, unfortunatley many of the staff have taken the same attitude. The shop often looks like a war zone, boxes lying in the middle of isles and products scattered everywhere but in their proper compartment. They are certainly not cheap and are in general just as expensive as sainsburys, tesco etc. Acton is crying out for a good value, good quality shop such as Aldi's or Lidl's. A new Waitrose for a select few that can afford to do their weekly shop there is not what many in Acton need, especially in these hard times. Waitrose is a planners dream to encourage wealthier customers to the area and for developers to sell their expensive flats. Acton will eventually become like Chiswick, unaffordable to locals who have lived here many years. Beware of what you wish for!!!!
