The Oaks - There is still time to write to Boris

I gather there was a meeting headed by Angie Bray MP and a delegation of local residents who met with Sir Edward Lister, Boris' Secretary of State, to put forward the case against the current Oaks redevelopment plan. One important piece of information from the meeting is that the Mayor's office has not yet received the Oaks application from Ealing Council. This is relevant as the Mayor must respond within two weeks of receiving the application. This means that there is still time to email the Mayor to object to the application. For accuracy, Ed Lister is Boris's Chief of Staff and Deputy Mayor for Policy & Planning.Only Prime Ministers have Secretaries of State. So maybe in the future...after 2015...who knows?

Sir Ed Lister, late of LB Wandsworth... have you seen what many years of Tory control of planning there have contributed to the look of the river bank with so many over large and unattractive blocks of flats?? I would not hold out much hope of Boris or in his name Sir Ed caring too much about a (relatively) small development in Acton to be built by developers who are probably, or if not will be soon, tory party doners.......
