Are you a Virgin Media customer?

Juat had an email from Virgin Media to say they are scrapping their Internet Security for a super,safer security, one must register before the end of December.The first year will be free apparently (saving £79) but thereafter they will charge £7.50 per quarter.Just another way of making money from loyal customers!

Is the e-mail genuine?  There's a lot coming through from BT, but upon checking the sender, it's from someone at AOL

I'm with this lot and have received nothing about this. Call them first before you do owt.

Security should be part of the package, and included in the monthly charges.  Use caution, don't click on anything.A favorite I keep getting is;You e-mail account has exceeded it's limits.  Your account has been suspended.  (or words to that effect.)  Click to verify your account.It looks official and has the BT logo, but, it is a scam.

I'm a VM customer too and have not received this.There are so many of these scams - for anything that looks just slightly odd, you should google some of the text and see what turns up. Also check any links before clicking - e.g. anything that ends with .ru is a giveaway.

I'm also with VM and haven't had this email, so be cautious. I have received the 'you have exceeded your limits' email a couple of times, appearing to come from Virgin, and have ignored it as a probable scam.There's a lot of it about!

This is not a scam, Virgin Media are going to charge for internet security after all.I shall take their free offer for 1 year then change to another provider.
