Crossrail works Overnight this weekend - update

Acton Yard Crossrail Works: Information Bulletin Saturday 16 November – Friday 13 December 2013 We need to do some additional work this weekend which was not included in the previous bulletin. The information in this bulletin therefore supersedes the information on work from 16 November onwards in the last bulletin sent to residents. All works highlighted in red are the particularly noisy works which residents may notice. Saturday 16 November to Friday 22 November Sunday (00.01 – 16.00) Piling for overhead line equipment just to the east of Noel Road Bridge. This involves driving tubular steel piles into the ground and is likely to generate some hammering noise and possible vibration. Saturday (22.00) to Sunday (16.00) Excavation of ballast on the yard side to the east of Noel Road Bridge. Followed by laying of new rail track Sunday (16.00-20:00) Tamping ballasted areas which may create some noise. Monday to Saturday (08.00 – 18.00) Works include: Laying new track by diveunder Constructing the base of the diveunder Works to install the pump chamber near Noel Road Delivery of rails and sleepers to Acton Yard Continuing building track sections in Acton Yard Continued excavation of the dive-under and ancillary works to the structure General works on site and along the track 24 hours a day Small boring machine will be tunnelling from opposite Oakley House under the tracks to create a new drainage system. Sunday (00.01 -05.00) Overhead line cable works will take place along the track. Residents may notice machinery on the track.
