Hanson Cement Plant - scheduled for Ealing Planning Committee decision, evening of Weds 27th Nov.

After the unfathomable granting of The Oaks planning application, this decision on the 27th will give the crystal clearest indication yet of the "calibre" of the Planning Committee - and the individuals who populate it on the night.Will a lack of backbone, penny pinching cost saving and the usual blindness to facts and public feelings dominate the night's proceedings and result in a "Grant" decision?

"Grant" decision?  Most probably.  It will be another disaster for us if they do grant.  If only these people on planning had to live with the filth.  It will be interesting to see which way Kate votes. (More notes being passed around.)

It would be great to see a change of use on this site - to something more compatible with the residential area it sits in. Only a couple of evenings ago I witnessed a Hansons truck swinging in to the turning in front of cars coming from the south and people trying to cross the wide road - I have to say that this is slightly unusual  - at least though Gowing and Pursey have manned their gate and drivers have generally been very considerate to pedestrians.
