Miele vacuum cleaner repairs

Hi, anyone know of a good local place to get my Miele vacuum cleaner repaired?It suddenly stopped working today and now nothing happens when I turn it on. It's about 10 years old but a great little cleaner and if possible I'd like to revive it.I know there's that shop by Homebase that does some appliances - perhaps them or anyone else locally?Regards, Carl

Thanks Nickola was it expensive? what was wrong with yours? I know when i had a Dyson they offer this deal where you pay about £100 and they basically put it back to new for you changing anything at all that needs it.Carl

Thanks all, I went for Miele. They are sending a box Tuesday for it to be placed in, and then collected on Wednesday and look to return within 3-5 days. You get a 12 month warranty and they replace any part that needs it, and trust me there are quite a few on my vacuum that need changing.Regards, Carl

I've always taken mine (non Miele) to Mattock Lane.I was told at the "dump" that many of the vacuum cleaners that arrive just need the filters cleaning or bags emptying.  It makes you want to weep!I would recommend espares as an online company from which to try and buy things like bags and belts for vacuums.  They also have How To videos. I found my elderly in-laws were buying new appliances because they could not find things like the right vacuum bags in the local shops (and the bagless cleaners had fixings that were too fiddly for them to open to remove AND then empty the dust into a carrier).  So helping out here is something that is easy to do for those of us who are online.
