Muggings on Saxon Drive last night?

We Were about to walk up Saxon Drive at around 11pm last night when a man walked past and told us not to go that way as there were some young blokes up there asking people for their wallets.Naturally we took a different route.He seemed as if he had been drinking so i'm not sure if he was winding us up.Did anyone else hear about this or do you think it was a wind up?

Had he called the police? People standing in the open in a group asking for wallets usually attract pretty quickly. There is usually a bit of shouting and kerfuffle. If he hadn't ..................................

No idea Maire.He walked past us and then called back and said to be careful up there becuase of people asking for wallets.Hope it was a wind up.

Does people asking for wallets = mugging?  I would have thought some menace or at least a threat may be required.

Bit of an alarmist heading, though. Considering it doesn't seem as though anyone was mugged.
