Boxing Day parking question

Cannot find the answer to this simple question:  Do visitor parking restrictions apply in Acton/Ealing on Boxing Day?  I need to know as we'll have guests staying overnight on Christmas Day and would like them to stay until after lunch on Boxing Day.I can't find this info. on the Council's website and would be most grateful if anyoe here knows the answer.

All car parks and pay and display bays will offer free parking on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.  Visitor parking in resident bays within controlled parking zones (CPZs) will also be free on those days.  Normal parking restrictions will apply on all other days. Apart from Christmas Day, motorists are reminded that bus lanes and parking restrictions on double yellow lines, loading bays, and parking in other places where parking is prohibited remain in operation throughout the festive period. The council is offering free weekend parking at its car parks in December and the first weekend of January. Thank you for this information,, but what I actually meant was parking in a RESIDENTIAL zone  I do have residents parking vouchers but unfortunately only for all-day and 1-hour stays, the useful 3-hour vouchers no longer being available.  Is it acceptable therefore to simply use a single 1-hour voucher  by scratching out three  separate hours on it?  It would be wasteful to have to use either 3 separate 1-hour vouchers or a whole 1-day voucher.

The first para refers to CPZs which is what I think you mean.

Thank you very much for this repoonse, Philippa.  The trouble is I don't know what a 'residents bay' actually means and I suspect it means no free parking for almost everyone!

Doesn't the second line in the Ealing council reply make it clear that visitors to residents in coz zones are free on those two days.Seems clear to me.

Ann,The bays outside your home that have a parking restriction would be classed as 'residents bays', unless they are 'pay and display' bays. Therefore, as the message from the Council says - visitor parking in resident bays within controlled parking zones (CPZs) will also be free on those days. So, your comment regarding 'no free parking for almost everyone' is not right! It will be free to park in a CPZ with or without a residents permit!
