Well, Sara, always willing to try and cheer on any new eatery I gave it a go a few weeks ago.It was awful. Most of it was inedible. The only half decent dish was (or seemed to be) the wrong order, which I had to jazz up. The rest I threw away.Silly menu, silly prices. Not thought through properly.Shame.

I've really taken to the Taj. Except for the chicken tikka masala which is a bit sweet for us. Added advantage of BYO, so on down to Paola at Park and Bridge for a nice bottle. By the way, she tells me that she is getting in a range of interesting non alcoholic drinks for the designated drivers. Fruit juices, ginger beer etc. I look forward to sampling them. I went last week. I thought the food was wonderful and the chap who runs it extremely pleasant. The portions were very generous and, given the January offer, very reasonably priced. I see it got a decent write up in the Ealing Gazette. However, given that there are so many excellent Indian restaurants in the area, it is hard to see how they will all survive. I hope they do.

I stand corrected.......so far.Maybe it was a bad night when I ordered.Do agree that the chap who took my order was very pleasant.The menu is a bit odd though. Look at the prices for rice.

Didn't go but still willing to give it a try after your responses. Cheers all! However, I have just returned form Coconut Thai £5 lunch deal and really enjoyed. It needs some design ideas inside but food was good (but I'm not the biggest Thai fan)

Had some food last week, it's quiet, they are still trying to find their feet but the food was outstanding. Go by Sham's recommendations on what to order.

Sara,I think Coconut Thai is the one in Market Place - used to be called Ploy Thai.

I noticed Tamarind Gardens is closed for 'kitchen refurbishment' until 13th February.... seems odd they need to refurbish the kitchen so soon!
