fibreglass or single membrane PVC flat roofing

All,Has anyone had their flat roof re laid using either the new fibreglass or single membrane PVC products ands if so, can you recommend anyone that does this?I want a company that specialize in this type of things and not a general builder that may have "done a few".Thanks in advance.Carl

The standard twin or triple wall polycarbonate materials are very strong, perhaps strong enough to support a heavy person, but any "flat" roof will tend to sag in the middle so it is normally tilted, with the flutes running from top to bottom. The flutes are usually sealed top and bottom to prevent discolouration due to moisture and growths.

When putting a flat roof on my extension, my builder sub contracted the work to Top Seal (easy to find their website). They install fibreglass roofing. It comes with a 25 year guarantee. It's built with a standard slope of 4 degrees, although they claim to be able to do it at any angle required. It costs about £70 per square metre; you may get a better deal as I had a fairly small area to be covered. This is the most expensive solution, but I've seen too many dodgy flat roofs to cut costs on this. Mine's only been in 3 years, but no signs of any deteriation to date.
