The Big Switch

I fnally filled in the form the other day and was told that one of the smaller suppliers could save me 300  pounds and some pennies. However, elsewhere on the internet I saw that some people had problems with this supplier. So I rang my current supplier Npower. They immediately offered to save me 250 pounds and some pennies. The call took about five minutes. No need to change any paperwork. The deal is automatic and confirmation arrived by e mail in a few minutes. I guess I am old enough to wonder why this offer wasn't made to existing customers as a loyalty bonus but presumably their actuaries know what they are doing. Try the Big Switch if you haven't already.

Last year I received a cold call from my internet service provider, telling me about all the wonderful new add-on features they had available, for a few extra pounds per month.I took the opportunity to ask them why other service providers were able to bring out new broadband packages with more add-on features than what I was getting, yet charge so much less. I read them a few examples from some recent junk mail.A couple of weeks later, I received another call from my internet service provider.  They transferred me to a new deal, better features than my previous one, and about 30% cheaper.

Its always worth threatening to leave. You usually get a much better deal. Stupid really. You shouldn't have to do this.
