Hairs in my coffee at costa coffee acton

Very dirty at this branch cloths are filthy and the machine was. Covered in spills  never again

Should one judge by one bad day?Personally I loathe espresso coffee, but even so I am reluctant to generalise from one bad experience

I haven't tried the Acton branch but use the ones in Ealing, West Ealing and Kew quite often because they seem better run than other chains -- clean and with efficient and friendly staff. I find this story of a dirty branch surprising.

I find this about the Acton branch surprising too. We've used both Costa's at Ealing B'way Centre and West Ealing and found all three clean with efficient staff. Maybe it was an "off-day". Did you mention this to the Acton staff?

I visited Costa for the first time on Sunday.  Was avoiding it in support of Coffee etc.  A friend kept going on about Costa and gave me a £10 voucher to make sure I went.  I did and was pleasantly surprised.  A very mixed crowd of people and a nice atmosphere although I still fail to understand why people pay so much for a cup of coffee.  I'm also rather fussy and practically walk around with my own clean coffee cup but I didn't find Costa dirty.  Maybe it was an off day - busy and not able to keep up with the cleaning?  I'll still be supporting Coffee etc but will make the occasional visit to Costa.

Well the mgr agreed with me and said that  coffee machine need to be cleaned and that when seen the Hairs he was very sorry  that end of it

That's good to know.  Mistakes can happen but if the manager responded positively that's good.I visit the Acton Costa quite often and have never found it dirty.  The service is always good too.Much as I would like to support local businesses, I have had unpleasant, argumentative and sullen service from Coffee Etc several times, and I always find the cakes and pastries stale and uninspiring.In contrast, I've had great service and great food/drink in Fields, Lavellis and Cupcake Avenue, so I am doing my bit for local businesses too.

all  branches of  costa differ was  told  by  thier head office  which  contacted  me did  find    hairs  in  my  coffee compalined  got  my  money back that is  it    only  wanted  to  share  on  here what  happen

It has always been clean and I go there a lot! However hate coffee!! What is coffee etc?

Coffee Etc is the cafe across the road that is basically dead since Costa went in.The new owners of Coffee Etc aren't running it as well as it was with the previous owner.I think the food is substandard and coffee is terrible- I used to go there all the time but won't go there now.Lavelli or Costa for me.Or Cabin in Chiswick.

Coffee in the Park Cafe is really good now they have a new machine. the little place just by Acton Central station also has good coffee (to go with its great egg baps!)

Hearing about great egg baps, where abouts in Acton's many cafes and coffee places could one get a really good salt beef bap please? I'm dying for a tasty salt beef bite. There are none in Ealing.
