Improvements to the Grand Union Canal path

I recall some months ago receiving the Ealing Council brochure updating residents that the council would be improving the Grand Union canal and the paths along it.  Can anyone recall what issue the article was in or is there any timeline offered for this?  There is a lot of room for improvement.

Couldn't agree more. The path which runs along Park Royal islittered with beer cans and worse. Hasn't been cleaned in a year. I didn't know there was a fund for cleaning. Perhaps one of the current local councillors could explain?

There was an article in the Ealing Gazette in December entitled: 'London Mayor promises £4.3million to improve roads and high streets.  Boris Johnson is promising "unprecedented" investment in the Capital's roads and cycling network', which goes on to say that 'Boroughs which boast the Grand Union Canal can also expect £500,000 for improvement works, to promote cycling and provide training opportunities.'But I recall seeing an article in the Ealing council publication that gave much more detail to the planned improvements to the canal paths.  Just can't find it now.full article:  http://www.getwestlondon.co.uk/news/west-london-news/london-mayor-promises-43million-improve-6445113
