Your obsession with Horn Lane is apparently blinding you to this widely acknowledged fact, and to the entirely inadequate steps taken by politicians in Westminster and City Hall to combat it. Ask yourself this: if Boris won't deal with the road traffic pollution how the hell you expect him to save you from your Horn Lane hobbyhorse?In fact, as you may or may not know, City Hall is trying to encourage more traffic into London as a matter of official policy and are currently changing the London Plan to allow this. Do you support this, or will you use your undoubted zeal to tackle the actual major problem here?[incidentally, if you want facts, the Western Avenue and Horn Lane graphs for PM10 are both tracking each other quite nicely, suggesting a shared underlying cause. Both are phenomenally high, as is the A406. However, things are worse in east and south east London, which is downwind of us (planes are landing east-west today, so any wind is from the west) and gets our pollution as well as theirs, which is also consistent with a large scale air pollution incident ongoing caused predominantly by road traffic emissions, unless you want to argue that Horn Lane is affecting the air in Erith]
