Why aren't Ealing Planning Committee proceedings AV recorded?

What have they got to hide?Given some of the tripe that is regularly spoken, coupled with, shall we say, the regular "misunderstandings" perpetrated by The Planning Department, there should so obviously be an unimpeachable, accurate recording of what goes on.Stalinist doesn't even begin to describe the current "No recordings permitted" system. "Democracy"? You're joking.

I vaguely recall that Hounslow Council might allow recording, but this from my posting on the Ealing site:-Posted by: Andy Jones    Date/Time: 20/03/14 09:19:00I don't think Ealing Council can legally prevent planning meetings being filmed. The new Local Audit and Accountability Act specifically deals with the rights of the public to film meetings, not that it was illegal before. Why not write to the Council informing them of your intention to film the next meeting and see how they reply?
