Old Library into Arts Centre Acton

Absolutely, although it still depends, if I've got this right, on the Ealing Planning Committee giving the go-ahead to use it as an Arts Centre. Given their current record, I'd be surprised if they didn't turn it into flats or decide that this is where Waitrose REALLY want to be.

Hopefully in May, we will have a council with common sense over planning, not this shower we have at present.

Why do surveys always ask for your 'last name' nowadays? Does no one understand the simple old word 'surname' any more?

First name and Last name probably make more sense in a multicultural country than Christian Name and Surname Name. But why do delivery people always address me by my first name when the ask me to sign for a parcel. Should I now put my "Last Name" first !!!

In view of the laughable amount Ealing spends on the arts, it might be worth looking at the web site mytheatrematters.co.uk.  They are encouraging people to write to councillors asking for more help with arts in general.  Turning the Old Library into an arts centre is a marvellous idea, given that this area in particular lacks virtually any cultural activities.
