Self Harm Information/Training Session for ParentsThursday 01/05/14 from 10.00 am to 15.30pmA free training/information Session on Self harm for parents has been organised by Global Networking Consultants for parents and carers who want to find out more about self harm. The aim is to provide the opportunity to learn more about the nature and causes of self harm and how to respond to disclosure and how to refer young people and their families to appropriate services.Information will be provided about:• The forms and incidence of self-harm• Causes of self-harm• Identifying young people who may be at risk of self-harm• Current guidance and local resources on managing self-harm• Involving families and friends in prevention and support initiatives and challenging myths and misconceptionsThe project has been funded by the Big Lottery.Date and Time: Thursday 01/05/14 from 10.00 am to 15.30pmPlace: St Andrew's Church, Mount Park Road, Ealing W5.
