Taxi company to airports

Could any one recommend a local taxi company for heathrow and other airports? Ideally reliable, and with clean cars. I used to have a phone number for one but it doesn't seem to work any more. I have tried greentomato: clean cars, very friendly but they arrived 25 minutes late to pick me up. Many thanks,Alex

I usually use Churchfield Road cabs 02089926666 Never a problem. Book ahead for an airport drop. I also use the cabs at Acton Town station. Again never a problem. 02089930911.

Sky Cabs near Southall. Arrive on time.  Between 16.50 to 23 for a cab depending on terminal and parking charges.

I think West London cars in Churchfield Road the best of the locals. Don't much like Churchill at Acton Town as they now charge extra for baggage - which they don't help with - and have changed prices for getting to airport from phone quote, once you are in the car. A long time ago to be fair, but not the sort of thing you forget.

... but you also don't forget the driver retrieving - and returning intact - your father's dropped wallet. I have been using them for myself and extended family for years and they have always been reliable. I haven't heard anything about them charging extra for luggage or changing fares.

Are there any mini-cab hire company booking offices in Heathrow, where one could book a cab to Ealing/Acton?

HiIf you ring sky cabs when you've picked up your luggage they usually appear pretty quickly - to Acton including the parking charge is about 23 but always get the price from the operator.

I've never had any problems with Churchill either and certainly never been charged extra for luggage. Far from not helping with luggage, they are usually over-eager to do so, given that we are able bodied and all our suitcases have wheels.
