I have loads of these but can't exactly decide what it is. Does anyone know?

I'm no gardener but if it is bindweed then pulling it up by the roots won't do the trick. You poison it by painting its leavesc as the root system is very extensive. The flowers are rather pretty white trumpets, but don't be fooled, it's a weed and can throttle other plants.

No it is not bind weed ( the leaves are more round), I have that, as well as the stuff in the photo, would love to know what it is and how to get rid of it. Ravenous slugs and green fly, invasive weeds...The garden is a battlefield.

I thought it was related to a potato too. But never had potatoes here and no compost either.The nearest I have found on google is Deadly Nightshade, which is related to potato I believe. But these are heart shaped leaves.

Try Enchanters Nightshade or Circae Lutetiana- an old gout remedy!

Hello Bob,It is called Enchanter's Nightshade or Circaea lutetiana. It can be very invasive as it spreads underground by the white stolons. Either dig it all out or treat with glyphosate (RoundUp?) when it is coming into flower is the most effective time. Hope that's useful.

B&Q does a cheap own brand version of 'round' in a white/orange top spray bottle with exactly the same ingredients as round up.
