Gala Bingo conversion to Destiny Church Open Day Thursday 8th
As part of their public consultation, the new owners of the Gala Bingo Hall and erstwhile cinema in the High Street are having an open day to show their plans for the conversion of the building into a church.It's 1600 - 2000 and open to all in the area.I think the pastor said he would be there plus the project manager - who comes from a company called Richmond in Northern Ireland who specialise in converting Bingo Halls and Cinemas - many of them listed like this one - into, mostly Pentecostal, churches. Who knew there was a market? We had a tour last week and it does look very sad at the moment.
