Everyone Active Acton

Just wanted to say that the yoga today was great but the class is full so please encourage management to put on more classes.  On the down side, the ladies' changing room floor was filthy at 11.30am, the drain was blocked with water not draining away and there are only 3 showers, one of which is equipped for wheelchairs.  Why could the designers not have put in more showers, preferably with some private cubicles for changing and showering to preserve dignity?  At my age, I prefer not to wander around starkers - it frightens the youngsters.  And nowhere to hang a towel.  I saw one poor woman trying to get her baby ready for swimming and there was nowhere to change the baby.

Funnily enough, the older I get, the less I care about anyone seeing me naked. Felt very self-conscious in the changing rooms at school but now ... if anyone's interested, they're welcome to an eyeful.

There was a very cute toddler in the pool changing rooms this morning (there with her mother), who seemed utterly riveted by the sight of me changing. I felt like saying, 'This is what happens when you eat too many sweets, my dear'.

Hopefully they don't, but the changing room doors are quite confusing as the group ones have both symbols on them, so could be any day now.....

Unisex facilities?I thought my Samsung Galaxy S5 was confusing.  Yeh, it's waterproof to one metre, music while you swim!!!

I know exactly what happened.  The designers ran out of money on the gym and studios, etc, then hired an intern to design the changing rooms. As they say, you pay peanuts you get monkeys.

Unisex facilities get my vote every day of the week. More serious, though, the signs are confusing. I feel awkward enough at the baths as it is. This confusion aint helping

I have sent an e - mail to my councillor Yvonne Johnson about the dire design of the ladies' changing rooms inviting her to make a formal visit. I thought maybe the Council might intervene.
