Yoga and Pilates.

As many of you know I had surgery on my abdomen earlier this year and was left with poor muscle tone. I took myself to Yoga West on Warple Way and was pleasantly surprised to find a smashing introductory offer of 20 sessions for $25. Just Yoga and Pilates.I was even more surprised not to meet any locals at the sessions. Are none of you interested in Yoga or are you all far too fit?

Cop a drug dealer

Arrived beck from Morrisons this afternoon and, was stopped by plain clothes police officers, (I though it was for speeding, or crack cake.)  On a serious note, they asked me if I knew of any dealing on the road.  As the conversation progressed, it appears they know who they are looking for but, needed conformation.  They asked me if there was a young white girl involved.  I did mention the activities on Churchfield Rd and, by the bridge.  It looks like they are on top of that issue.

Strictly come dancing

I had no intention of watching but saw a bit of last weeks and now will watch as thought rather good,  particularly Lisa Riley who was a revelation,  BUT still not on iplayer,  how's a girl to be entertained!I need to know if someone,  anyone has told Darcy to stop ending every single comment with either yeah,  yes, yah, ok!Thankfully Darcy had pertinent info to divulge though unlike Alisha.Anyone willing to bet on winners yet?

Gypsy Corner - Allan Way area power cut last night

Any idea the reason for the cut? The volts died slowly here, so various items including flourescent and low energy lights started flickering and dying over a few minutes. Previous cuts were often caused by old joints filling with water where the cable was moved to construct the pedestrian subway. This time power was restored too soon afterwards to have fixed cable joints, so can we expect a few more cuts over the next few days?

Talk about bible punching.  American religious dating agency sending spam mail to the U.K, yuk.They only give you two choices:man seeking woman or woman seeking man, total discrimination, for those of other persuasions.  Sounds more like a religious sect, looking to get their claws into people.  In the past I have blocked this bunch of religious w****rs but, they seem to use various addresses just to dump their rubbish on peoples computers.  The last lot of spam mail that has landed on my computer have all come from, Nevada. NUTS.

Leaving the area - suggestions on getting rid of stuff

I haven't been very active on the forum since my shop closed down in 08/09, but wanted to ask for people's advice on our impending move to the U.S. and getting rid of as much of our stuff as possible.Going to L.A. to start anew, are planning to keep to a 20ft container, so will be getting rid of a loooot of stuff. It's going to be too late in the year for car boot sales, so does anyone recommend garage sales? Has anyone had any experience with these?The house is on Creswick Road, just off Horn Lane, so with a few signs up we should get some decent traffic.Any ideas on furniture? Couches, cupboards, beds, chairs etc.? Should I just be sticking it all up on Freebay? Starting to realise the enormity of the task (the house is full of my wife's 'essential' purchases over the years :D, plus four kids worth of toys and assorted junk). Help!

A&E closures... The March

Stop the closure of A&E units at Hammersmith, Charing Cross, Central Middlesex, Ealing Hospitals…The March from Acton Park…After our battles over 91 Shakespeare (unfortunately still going on), I expected many Poet’s Corner and Churchfield neighbours to come to Acton Park to join the march. Unfortunately precious few showed. I walked beside a man from Twickenham. Twickenham! He feared that if closures were not stopped here, his hospital would be next.At the moment, at almost any time of day, an ambulance from Poet’s Corner can reach either Hammersmith or Central Middlesex Hospitals in about 10 minutes, with Ealing and Charing Cross not much further.In the near future ambulances will have to drive right by Hammersmith Hospital and head for St. Mary’s Paddington at Praed Street. This could easily take from 40 minutes to an hour, or more. Or, instead of stopping at Central Middlesex, ambulances will have to take the long tedious drive to the very confusing and inaccessible Northwich Park. Think of driving those distances with a bleeding child or a gasping elderly parent in the car. We were told that even now, before the coming closures, the A&E units at both St. Mary’s and Northwich Park are heavily overcrowded, especially at weekends.Some Poet’s Corner/ Churchfield neighbours are destined to die unnecessary deaths. For what? Does anyone really believe that closing our four closest A&E units will put even a tiny dent in the national debt?You can do something. Traffic lights outside windmill pub acton high street

Would all cyclist please remember the laws of the road...If the red light shows you have to stop to let people cross you have to stop, you are no different to cars or lorries just cause you don,t have an engine. If you don,t understand the highway code then you should not be on the road.
