Parking Changes Highlands Avenue
I have just seen a notice on the lamp post in Highlands Avenue stating they are going to remove parking bays and replace them with double yellow lines!This will affect not only the residents of Highlands Avenue, but also those of Nemoure Road and Cumberland Road.The notice states:-PROPOSED PARKING AMENDMENTS IN HIGHLANDS AVENUEThe Ealing (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Special Parking Area)(Amendment No. *) Order 201*The Ealing (Acton Central - Zones K and K1)(Residents Parking Places) (Amendment No.*) Order 201*1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the London Borough of Ealing (“the Council”) proposes to make the above mentioned Orders undersections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.2. The general effect of the Orders would be to remove a 7.7 metres length of permit holder parking place in Highlands Avenue on the south side outside Nos. 1 to 8 Cumberland Villas and replace it with double yellow lines prohibiting waiting at any time.3.
