Hanson planning application published today

The planning application for the Hanson concrete batching plant was received by the council on the 6th of August 2013.  It was published today on the Council’s website:http://www.pam.ealing.gov.uk/portal/servlets/ApplicationSearchServlet?PKID=161503Apparently the consultation letters to residents will be ready for dispatch tomorrow or the following day.  I guess that means that people will get them by the end of the week.  Many people have complained about this site.  Now they will get to have a say.

New mini basketball prog. about to launch!

Pre-registrations are now being taken for a brand new mini-basketball programme. It launches on Saturday October 5th at 10am at the Brentford Leisure Centre. 5 years to 16 years old. The great South Downs walking project

Yesterday, we walked from Amberley to Cocking (Midhurst) The scenery was beautiful and we had perfect walking weather. For most of the time we walked through fields of wheat and barley with one stretch of lifestock grazing. The larks are continuing melodius. Great tea afterwards at the Moonlight Cottage. We only have three more walks to go, so have decided to do one at the beginning of September and two together mid September with an overnight at a B&B and dinner before walking on to Winchester. (Isn't there always talk of food when I am organising) If you thought of joining us, but thought it was too hot, then one of these walks might suit you. You can always join for part of the way. PM me for dates and info. Some of us will be at the Rocket on Wednesday evening quaffing a first Wednesday drink, so if you have any questions or want to check us out then come along. You are welcome.

Today saw the launch of the most anticipated video game ever, Grand Theft Auto Five. Gaming is all its various forms is now enjoyed by a huge percentage of the worlds population (GTAV is expected to sell 25 million copies in its first year alone)However gaming is a pleasure still denied to many of the disabled community. Looking for artists/makers for market stall in Ealing Broadway

We've negotiated a discount space with Ealing Broadway shopping centre in order to encourage local artists and crafts people to sell their work in the Christmas period.If you would be interested in selling your work through us then let us know. There is a very small admin fee to pay and then we will charge 20% commission but given the time of year and the footfall there I think this could be really successful. Stop & Shop bays, Emanuel Avenue, W3

Those lovely new-ish stop and shop bays in Emanuel Avenue now seem to have been taken over by a fleet of Saab cars!  There never seems to be a free parking space there anymore.   Who is abusing these stop and shop spaces, if that's what's happening?  Any ideas?

banging noises

We are frequently being woken up by banging noises very early in the morning.  It took a while to eliminate daughter, neighbours, ghosts, elephants practising their irish dancing etc. but now we think it is pile driving for crossrail.  This morning we woke up at around 6 am and it is still going on now.  Anybody else losing sleep over this?
