NHS Accident & Emergency closures
Under the guise of Dr Mark Spencer four of the nine north-west London A&E departments are to close, so as`to streamline the NHS. Those under threat are Charing Cross, Hammersmith, Chelsea and Westminster, Ealing.Central Middlesex is to close (not a loss as it is so diabolical.)By closing four of the A&Es I feel that this will be compromising patient care, especially if the case is life threatening. Also it means further to travel and, the cost of getting back home after treatment will increase, also those with mobility problems will be victimised.It would be a pity if Charing Cross was to go, as it is closer than the C & W. Who wants to travel the full length of Fulham Palace Road, then along the Fulham Road to get emergency/critical treatment?
