Tax disc stolen

Relative just noticed the tax disc missing from the car. Any else had this happen ? The only time the car has been open and unattended was while getting petrol from Shell garage where someone fills it while you go and pay....Report in the paper says stealing tax discs is latest 'popular' crime!

Virgin Media... needs to lay a new cable accross the street?

Hi, anyone out there with some tech knowlodge to tell me whether this makes sense?I've ordered Virgin Media Broadband and after 2 weeks of waiting for their technical people to come by and install the internet - and then being stood up without notification - I've now been told that they need to do some construction work to lay a cable from somewhere on the street to the house (which apparently might take another 2-3 weeks before they can get this done, because of traffic). Does this sound right? Every other person in the house already got Virgin Media Broadband. How is it possible that it is only our room that needs a separate, new cable from somewhere accross the road? Does this make sense?thanks :)
