Manacare '' Charity'' clothes collection

Just noticed we have had their plastic bags pushed thru our door. Seems to have a bit of a dodgy past; accounts not submitted, being struck off. Their website seems designed to try and pull every  possible human heart stringJust also had a look for the Montenegrin charity shop near Morrisons; it says its a charity, is it?

Jim Jefferies Tickets - Comedian

Hi guys, i currently have 6 tickets for sale for jim jefferies at the Leicester square theatre on the 23rd july. Me and my friends are unable to attend so i would just like a quick sale. Face is £15 so i will sell each ticket for £18. I have 2 blocks of 3 tickets all next to each other and would prefer to sell them together and not as singular tickets. Currently the show is nearly sold out as there are only single tickets left.Jim is a very vulgar comedian and likes to push the boundaries hence why he was punched on stage last time! Other than that he has performed at all the major comedy festivals and is not an act to be missed. If anyone is interested give me a shout. Acton Church Gospel Chorale Concert This Saturday

This Saturday (17th) Acton Hill Methodist and URC Church (opposite the Redback Pub) is hosting its annual Gospel Chorale Concert. Starts 7pm. Tickets £5 for adults, £3 for children includes refreshments. All very welcome!

Sky Ride Ealing

I may be being a bit alarmist about this but Boris Johnson's event in Ealing next Sunday (18th) seems set to close the Uxbridge Road at two points and lead to the suspension of local bus services as far as I can work out.This would seem to me likely to lead to chronic gridlock in the Acton area particularly as it has been so poorly publicised. Or have I got these details wrong - it seems extraordinary that they would do this.

Ealing sky ride event - Sun July 18

In the July 2010 issue of Around Ealing (page 7), there is a small article announcing the Ealing Sky Ride which takes place on Sunday, July 18.  Full details are on:  http://www.goskyride.com/city/details.aspx?eventid=309&cityid=12The route covers Ealing, Northfields and Hanwell.  "We’ll be transforming Ealing into a cyclists’ paradise, complete with a festival area and roaming entertainment along a 11.4km route that will take you from Lammas Park, up Uxbridge Road onto Sutherland Road and back again. Hanwell Clocktower, Ealing Town Hall, Pitzhanger Manor House and Ealing Common are some of the iconic sites that you’ll be able to check out on the day."Should be a lovely day.  Suitable for all ages.

2 bed flat wanted in acton - urgent appeal

Hi Everyone, just wondering if anyone is renting out a 2 bed flat in the acton central/churchfield rd area. It is for my husband as we seperated at the weekend, but I still want him to be in the area for the children to see him whenever they want to. Preferably furnished, with own bathroom/kitchen. Please, if you or anyone you know would be willing to rent the flat to me for him, can you please let me know asap as where he is at the moment is horrible but I can't have him back home. carnival trouble?

Accident/incident on uxbridge road by the crossing  near the railway bridge at the bottom of Acton park. Lot's of police and  now the emergency helicopter .... anyone know what's happened?

Does anybody have a driveway to rent?

I'm looking to rent a parking space in a driveway near a Central line tube station please. Had a great one that I used on Carlisle Ave but it is no longer available. Watersports in West London

I took the family with me to Manchester a few weeks ago while I was there on business, and found the time to take my son canoeing in the Salford Quays with the local watersports center. Amazing value, cost £3 for an hour, including all kit and wetsuit hire.My son had a fantastic time and was already begging me to take him canoeing again before we'd even got back to the dock. Wondered if anyone knew of anything similar in and around West London? Obviously not expecting such stellar value, but anything convenient would be smashing.Thanks in advance.Ian
