Crossrail Works Notification of Overnight works FYI

3 September 2013Dear Neighbour,Crossrail works opposite Oakley Avenue, Tuesday 3 September – Thursday 5 September. We are writing to inform you about planned night works due to take place this week. Please accept our apologies for the late notice of these works; this has been due to a changing engineering programme which we needed to agree with London Underground and Ealing Council. We are planning to install sheet piles on the nights between Tuesday 3 September and Thursday 5 September on the tracks opposite the western end of Oakley Avenue, near the London Underground lines. Each night the work will take place between 23.59 and 06.00.This work involves vibrating steel piles into the ground and may generate limited noise and vibration. This method is considerably quieter than traditional hammer piling. We understand that some of these works may cause disruption for neighbours in the vicinity and in accordance with the Crossrail Construction Code, we will endeavour to minimise any unnecessary environmental impacts and ensure those working on site will be briefed on their obligations for working considerately. If you have any queries, either before or while this work is taking place, please call our dedicated 24-hour National Helpline on 08457 11 41 41 or email crwest@networkrail.co.uk. Should you wish to learn more about Crossrail, please visit www.crossrail.co.uk.We would like to thank you for your patience and apologise for any inconvenience these essential works may cause.Yours faithfully,Olivia WhiteCommunications ManagerNetwork RailCommunity RelationsKings Place90 York WayLondonN1 9AGTel: 08457 11 41 41
