I am about to return the padding as I ordered the wrong size.It was from Amazon; 'Howleys 8ft replacement surround padding' £24.99 +P&P about £5The 8ft is the outer diameter of the whole trampoline.It is blue, and boxed.I want £20 for it as it is what the refund is worth to me after I have paid the P&P to send it back

Has anyone else been the victim of BT or Yahoo hackers today? Is this a universal problem or just affecting one or two people? I have had two e-mails from BT/Yahoo accounts that are spam e-mails today.

A fine for having a messy garden?

I just read on the Brentford Forum that a resident was recently fined £1,100 for having lots of rubbish in the garden which could attract vermin.Do you think this is a good idea for Ealing Council to adopt - or should householders be allowed to neglect their gardens even if they become an eyesore?What about business premises - should they also be allowed to leave rubbish bout and neglect their property, or perhaps face a fine and ordered to clean up?

Persistent Offender - what would you do?

For some time now I have been reporting someone who litters the street with empty beer cans which add up to a dozen or so by the end of the day.This person is an alcoholic and is obviously not permitted to drink alcohol indoors. We have had various problems since the 'Care In The Community' home was located nearby, not just with this one resident.I accept that this person has a problem but surely this is unfair to other residents in the street? We now have the street littered with empty beer cans on a daily basis. There is other anti-social behaviour associated with the same person.A suggestion has been made that the owner of the 'Care Home' should take some responsibility, maybe allow the empty beer cans to be left in a green box inside the front garden, but no - instead we have them dumped in the street!Apparently not much can be done because of the alcohol problems the resident has, but this is getting beyond a joke.What on earth can one do in this situation to solve the matter?

Tim the butcher just paid us a visit, he said that he is hoping to be back in the shop next week to get it ready for opening the following week, he was hoping to coincide the opening with the opening of the new charity shop on Thursday but thinks it is unlikely to be that soon.

Baby bird needs help.

If anyone in the Cumberland rd area can help a little baby bird (magpie I think) it's by the foot of the tree outside no 41/43. I felt awful when I spotted it but I had to be somewhere and was already running a bit late. I managed to get it out of the gutter without handling so it didn't get squished by a car, and covered it slightly with a tea bag box but I didn't know what else to do/who to call.

Lovely lovely people

I just really wanted to say thank you/show my appreciation for some really lovely people I have encountered via this forum. I have gone from no job/banging my head against the jobcentre desk every fortnight to now working 4 days a week. Big thanks to 2 people -who know who they are I'm sure.  I'm absolutely loving life right now. And no I have not been drinking. If anybody else wants a cleaner for 2 hours on a Tuesday morning I'm your woman!

Re: Bees under front door

Just need some advice here. We suspect we might have bees nesting under the front door of our house as we have seen a few lazily drifting about more and more in the past week. I have been looking on-line about how to deal with them and the majority are suggesting that I would need to contact a local beekeeper to remove them as they are obviously useful, unlike wasps! Also nowadays I know they are few and far between so I don't want to destroy them! :( Anyone know who I could contact locally with Bee Knowledge? :)Thanks!

Jehovah's Witness...Grrr

Awoken this morning by one of these Jehovah's Witness pests, constantly ringing the door bell along with small child in tow.  They quickly learnt what it is like to have the front door slammed in their faces.  Did it twice, just to make sure they got the message.If I want to be perverted by a member of a millenarian Christian sect rejecting the supremacy of the State and religious institutions over personal conscience, I would still slam the door in their faces.  When will they learn not to annoy people, especially when they are in bed asleep?
